Concealed Handgun License - Permit Certification Class! $35 (each) This course is for law-abiding adult citizens, it currently meets competency training requirements for right-to-carry applicants. Handgun safety is a component of the course. We offer 2 classes weekly. (both day & evening) No preregistration, walk-ins welcome! Pay each state at the door. Official Certificates  issued at end of each class. Thursdays (evening) 6 pm - 10+ pm & Saturdays (day) 10 am - 2+ pm. If our class schedule does not meet your needs, for a group of 3 or more, we can schedule a class, your day and time, at our facilities, with no extra cost to you! Either Oregon, Utah or both. Non-shooting class, leave firearms at home. No live ammunition allowed in classroom!

Facts: The State of Oregon recognizes no other states conceal carry permit! To carry in Oregon you must have an Oregon License. The Oregon Concealed Handgun License is currently valid in 13 states: Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Montana, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah and Vermont. Oregon laws are subject to change. Utah in accordance with U.C.A. 76-10-523, Utah will honor a permit to carry a concealed firearm issued by another state or county. Of the states that have formalized reciprocity or recognition with Utah, there are some states that will only accept the Utah concealed firearm permit so long as the permit holder is a resident of Utah. It is the responsibility of all Utah and Oregon concealed firearm permit holders to know and understand the applicable firearm laws of the states within which they plan to visit or venture.

NRA Courses

The Home Firearm Safety: ($35) Course is designed to present the basic knowledge, skills and explains the attitude necessary for the safe handling and storing of guns in the home. The course will also familiarize participants with safe gun handling procedures and guidelines for storing pistols, rifles, and shotguns in the home. 4 hours. Low participant to Instructor ratio, may be one-to-one. Currently meets Oregon (most localities) competency training requirements for right-to-carry applicants. Handgun safety is a component of the course.

FIRST STEPS Pistol: ($80) Firearm Instruction - Responsibility - Safety Training. The Orientation Goal of this course is to provide beginning shooters with an introduction to the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to own and use a specific pistol model safely. Preregistration required! 3 - 6 hours. Program is designed for low student to Instructor ratio, may be one-to-one. Objective based, classroom & range time. Student must furnish own ammunition. (50+ rounds minimum) Currently meets Oregon (most localities) competency training requirements for right-to-carry applicants. Handgun safety is a component of the course.

Basic Pistol: ($110) Course deals with the basic knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. Through this course, student will learn about pistol parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety, and shooting fundamentals. This is a hands-on activity. Preregistration required! 10 hours. Program is designed for low student to Instructor ratio, may be one-to-one. Objective based, classroom & range time. Student must furnish own ammunition. (100+ rounds minimum) Currently meets Oregon (most localities) competency training requirements for right-to-carry applicants. Handgun safety is a component of the course.

Basic Personal Protection in The Home: ($100) The Course Goal is to develop in the student the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding citizen's right to self-defense. NRA Personal Protection course participants must be experienced shooters, mastery of the basic skills of safe gun handling, shooting a group, zeroing the firearm, and cleaning the firearm. Validation of shooting experience required. This is a hands-on activity. Preregistration required! 8 hours. Course is designed for low student to Instructor ratio, may be one-to-one. Objective based, classroom & range time. (100+ rounds minimum) Student must furnish own ammunition. Currently meets Oregon (most localities) competency training requirements for right-to-carry applicants. Handgun safety is a component of the course.

Metallic Cartridge Reloading: ($100) Reloading of ammunition is a skill that must be carefully learned step by step. Preregistration required! 8 hours. Course is designed for low student to Instructor ratio, may be one-to-one. Reloading accidents can be avoided by knowing the proper techniques for safe reloading, and always observing them. Reloaders must remember that their first priority is always safety. It is extremely important for a beginner to approach this craft with the proper attitude; he or she must have a willingness not only to carefully study and learn the basic techniques, but also to learn and constantly apply all of the reloading safety rules. It less epensive to reload ammunition than to buy new. It is possible to develop exactly the type of cartridge that is best for your kind of shooting activity. Reloading helps the environment. (recycling) Reloading is just plain fun.
